Thanks to all who planned and worked on making this meeting possible. I learned so much. Thanks to Mike I bought some argonite to make a 50/50 mix with peat for pings. I bought my P. Aphrodite in 2008 from Steve Swartz (ElGecko on the previous boards) It seemed to do OK but not thrive when I tried a ceramic plant substrate but has gone down hill. I planted the smaller of two left in the mix so we'll see. I found the argonite at Petco and washed it until the water ran clear as the bag stated. The bag state that this material is mostly calcium carbonate and acts as a buffer to maintain the pH at 8.2. I am enjoying the Cephalotus that I won the bid on and also the D. spatulata that Ian gave me. Ian made a very good presentation on CP of Pa. I loved the autowatering talk. I love to do simple projects like that. I could listen to the wisdom and knowledge that Mike has all day. His lecture really ties down plant culture of CPs. Gale in Pa

I'm glad that you both enjoyed the meeting! We hope to see you at our future ones (if not the one in January, at the ones in the spring and summer!).
