Hi Everyone!
I am new (ish) carnivorous plant collector round-abouts Baltimore, and had been having great success with my budding collection!
Unfortunately, a very well-meaning plant sitter accidentally killed one of my carnivorous plant terrariums by using the wrong water while I was in recovery for surgery (They were watering my carnivorous plants with orchid fertilizer, which is in a similar sprayer (though marked!) and using the plain distilled water for the orchids)-- They were already expiring by the time I realized what the problem was, and I lost most of my collection, including a Frazier Island spoon-leafed sundew, a cape sundew, a couple varieties of pitcher plants, and my much-loved King Henry flytrap.
I am currently off of work on disability due to an extensive knee surgery, so I have a veeeery tight budget at the moment, but not much to do aside from puttering about with my plant collections. I was wondering if there were any fellow collectors within reasonable road-trip distance that were thinning out seedlings, or might have cuttings? I am happy to barter for established plants as well! I am an artist when I am not occupied with my grown-up job, and make all kinds of interesting things.
Please let me know if interested!

Ooooh, what type of artist are you? Can you show off some of your work? I don't have tons of extra CPs, but I can take a look when I get home.

Oh, awesome! I do a little bit of everything. Mostly, I am a fiber artists-- I spin, weave, knit, nalbind, needlefelt and do a bit of crochet. I am actually working on some needle-felted Carnivorous plants (I injured my pinky this week while finishing a harp I am building, so my hand-work is a bit on the delayed side.) I also make interesting jewelry, do illumination illustration (ala Book of Kells, though not nearly that talented yet!), and medieval embroidery. My studio is on facebook at www.facebook.com/JarnvithrTextileStudioAndChandlery/ and on Instagram at @jarnvithrskeeper.
