I took my VFT out of the refrigerator today and potted them up. I made a YouTube video of the potting process, mainly for a very interested first grader at our church. I gave her some CP last year, but overwintered them for her. I did this because her mom became pregnant and becomes extremely sick during her pregnancies. She was not able to help her daughter.
The video link. Remove the red dot and replace it with a real dot and remove the spaces in order to get the link to work. I guess this forum does not allow links.

I like your video! It seems like keeping your VFTs in the refrigerator worked well. I kept mine outside under row covers but I think I've sustained heavy losses in terms of flytraps. We'll see once the weather warms up some more.

Kevin, I remember seeing your wintering setup. Please post some photo's of your plants right out of dormancy and again in a few months.
In the recent snow storms and cold nights, I've had the plants in my unheated garage. The water in the dish does not freeze in there, where a 6 inch deep 24" diameter tray does freeze on the surface out on my unprotected deck.
I'll be bringing the plants outdoors tomorrow during the day.
